What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Valid and active driver’s license, High School diploma, 21 years or older, Ability to understand and adhere to job requirements and safety guidelines in English, Lift up to 49 pounds, Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, Ascend/descend stairs, Work 40 hours/week, Overtime as required, Flexible schedule/shift/work area, Work weekends, nights, and/or holidays, Hold a valid driver’s license for the state of residence, Eligible to drive in accordance with DOT requirements

Nice to Have

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with diverse audiences, Experience building strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and outside vendors, Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Completion of Career Choice Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Course, Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications, Ability to follow and enforce safety measures and policies, Commitment to build strong, collaborative relationships

What You'll Do.

Perform trailer moves in the trailer yard

Coordinate yard activities

Complete applicable driver training programs

Operate multiple vehicle types

Make safety a priority

Adhere to company rules and regulations

Follow and enforce safety measures and policies

Perform various functions within the yard

Support site operations teams

Support internal transportation field teams

Support external carriers

Ensure trailers arrive and depart on time

Maintain workflow for buildings

Operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non-public roads

Move trailers to/from dock and parking locations

Learn Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

Comply with company policies and DOT regulations

Complete driver vehicle inspection reports on equipment

Notify managers of maintenance or delivery issues

Follow hostler and delivery schedules

Track and report working hours and breaks

Adhere to yard safety policies

Obey all applicable traffic laws

Drive in accordance with weather/road conditions

Serve as a peer trainer

Work at nearby site locations

and load/unload a truck

Obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Obtain Driver Qualification File (DQF)
