What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school or equivalent diploma, Driver's license, 21 years of age or older, Work 40 hours/week, Overtime as required, Flexible schedule/shift/work area, Lift up to 49 pounds, Stand/walk up to 12 hours, Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, Understand and adhere to job requirements and safety guidelines in English, Willing to drive up to 75% of the time, Obtain Driver Qualification File (DFQ), Obtain Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Nice to Have
Experience with Microsoft Office products, Class A commercial driver's license (CDL), Ability to follow and enforce safety measures and policies, Commitment to build strong, collaborative relationships, Previous experience as Amazon TOM Associate, 6+ months Peer Driver Trainer (PDT) experience
What You'll Do.
Perform trailer moves in trailer yard
Coordinate yard activities
Complete applicable driver training programs
Operate multiple vehicle types
Make safety a priority
Adhere to company rules and regulations
Follow and enforce safety measures and policies
Support site operations teams
Support internal transportation field teams
Support external carriers
Ensure trailers arrive and depart on time
Maintain workflow for buildings
Operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs)
Move trailers to/from dock and parking locations
Learn Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
Comply with company policies and DOT regulations
Complete driver vehicle inspection reports
Notify managers of maintenance or delivery issues
Follow hostler and delivery schedules
Track and report working hours and breaks
Adhere to yard safety policies
Obey all applicable traffic laws
Drive in accordance with weather/road conditions
Serve as a peer trainer
Work at nearby site locations
and load/unload a truck
Use approved equipment
