Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our friendly team at our Minworth site on a full time permanent basis! Salary: £30,541 per annum. Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. As a Transport Planner you will oversee the day to day planning of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions to the customer. Key Duties of a Transport Planner: * Subcontracting and planning orders out of multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK. * Planning daily workload for fleet: vehicles based on and off site. * Dealing with queries and issues by telephone, fax and email from our customers, sub-contract hauliers and warehousing sites. * Liaising with Traffic and Administration teams to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times. * Maintaining, creating and updating spreadsheets and databases for customer reports. * Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that arise. * Support the fleet and driver training team as and when required. * Complete pre and post de-brief for all driver shifts. * Deliver effective, professional and timely internal and external communications. ## Qualifications * Be able to demonstrate a high level of transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment. * Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills. * Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale. * Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in ord
