This position requires handling multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. **Key responsibilities include:** * Perform design and engineering to establish safe design parameters that meet current design codes, evaluating and selecting structure and material types, designing wood structures, route selections for new lines, developing construction specifications and complete bid documents, directing drawing preparation and providing cost estimates. * Design activities shall also include evaluating existing lines for National Electric Safety Code (NESC) compliance, safety guidelines, upgrades and modifications; provide expert witness testimony, and keeping current with latest technology. * Develop engineering solutions, cost and schedule estimates, and preliminary designs associated with initial development and budgeting of projects. * Develop project scoping documents, basis of design documents and project control documents for projects within and outside of Ameren's ser
