What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Associates Degree in Occupational Safety and Health / Engineering or equivalent education or experience, Transportation Safety and Security Program (TSSP) Certification required or the ability to achieve certification within three years of hire, A minimum of two years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health Management

What You'll Do.

Provide technical advice to rail

Identify risks with regard to safe working practices

Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures

Assist with implementation of directives

Assist with auditing and oversight against regulatory requirements

and event investigations

Provide training/coaching

Process workflow changes

Work with operations and maintenance to ensure hazards

Mitigate hazards and safety concerns to an acceptable

Participate in internal

and regulatory audits

Synthesize safety data into actionable items

Improve the Safety Management System

Assist with safety open houses

Assist with safety committee meetings

Utilize communication technologies to disseminate safety policy/procedure changes

Perform all job-related duties as assigned
