What You'll Achieve.
Support the safe and efficient movement of vehicle and pedestrian traffic; Promote safe and consistent traffic flow; Ensure critical roles are performed correctly and safely; Ensure alignment across team members prior to setup; Support adequate staffing levels; Support safe and efficient ingress and egress; Ensure safety and minimize congestion

Able to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions, Able to maintain situational awareness in a dynamic environment, Able to stand for extended periods, Able to lift up to 50 lbs, Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, Assignments will involve heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic, Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), Ensure traffic control staff wear PPE
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Roadway Flagger certification through a Caltrans-approved provider, Traffic Control Technician (TCT) certification through a Caltrans-approved provider, Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification through a Caltrans-approved provider, Valid California driver’s license, Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean DMV record
Nice to Have
Previous experience in traffic control, construction, or public safety is an asset
What You'll Do.
Develop and implement traffic control plans
Coordinate with APD Traffic Control
Provide pre-event planning and coordination
Direct and lead traffic control personnel
Coordinate with Parking teams
and adjust traffic control plans
Oversee the deployment and removal of traffic control devices
Oversee and direct staff assigned to control traffic
Provide on-site direction and training
Monitor traffic conditions and communicate
Ensure compliance with traffic control regulations
Perform regular site inspections
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders
Oversee correct deployment and operation of devices
Respond quickly to changing conditions
Conduct regular checks of department vehicles
Immediately report any damage
Complete timely incident reports
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Cross-functional coordination with Traffic Control Leads, Traffic Control Manager, Anaheim Police Department (APD) Traffic personnel, and Security Management; Coordinate with APD Traffic Control; Conferring with the Security Scheduling Manager; Coordinate with Parking teams; Communicate with team members, supervisors, and emergency services; Maintain clear communication with the Traffic Control Manager, Traffic Control Lead, construction crews, and law enforcement
Communication Scope
Effective communication and problem-solving skills across internal departments and external stakeholders, including APD Traffic; Able to provide direction to small teams; Able to impart knowledge related to traffic control duties; Maintain clear communication
