Our employees are our most valuable asset. ## _Job Description_ This role provides trading support for Westchester’s event-driven investment strategies and supports trade execution, portfolio implementation, and ongoing market monitoring across a $5B+ platform. The position partners closely with Portfolio Managers and senior investment professionals to help maintain efficient portfolio positioning, promote risk awareness, and contribute to disciplined execution in a fast-moving market environment. Primary Job Responsibilities: * Execute and support the positioning and ongoing management of a $5B+ event-driven investment portfolio under the direction of Portfolio Managers and senior investment staff. * Monitor price movements, liquidity, and event-related developments across portfolio holdings, and communicate relevant market activity and risks to senior team members. * Develop, maintain, and enhance Excel-based models and analytical tools, in partnership with the investment team, to support position sizing, tracking, and scenario analysis. * Build and maintain relationships with sell-side brokers and securities lending/stock loan counterparties to support trade execution, borrow availability, and market insight. * Closely monitor equity and debt capital markets calendars, including deal activity and corporate actions, to support proactive event-driven trading and portfolio implementation. Ideal Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. * 3–5 years of experience in trading, investment management, capital markets, or a related financial role. * Working knowledge of Bloomberg, including market data and security analytics. * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with Excel-based financial modeling. * Familiarity with programming and analytical tools such as VBA and/or Python. * Exposure to equity and/or debt capital markets and corporate actions. * Foundational understanding of risk arbitrage or event-driven inv
