What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or GED, 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction, Ability to operate and train others on heavy equipment (backhoe, front-end loader), Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks, Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and safety standards, Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~75 lbs), Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Nice to Have
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience, Certification required when working on FRA-regulated track (as applicable)
What You'll Do.
Lead and direct crews performing track construction
Plan and coordinate materials
Ensure all work is performed safely
Oversee daily crew activities
Train and onboard new employees
Monitor project progress
Support cost control and efficient resource use
Perform additional duties as assigned
