What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Engineering apprenticeship or engineering college qualification (NVQ, BTEC, etc.), Interest in engineering, manufacturing, or toolmaking, Willingness to develop technical skills, Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability, Ability to follow instructions and work safely, Good communication skills, attention to detail and organised approach, Eligibility to work in the UK
Nice to Have
Experience with hand tools or workshop tools, Basic knowledge of machining (lathe, milling, grinding), Understanding of engineering drawings, Experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment
What You'll Do.
Assist in the preparation
and repair of production tooling
Support Toolmakers during planned and unplanned maintenance activities
Clean tooling and support preventative maintenance processes
Clean and repair tooling ancillary items
Learn to identify tooling issues and support corrective actions
Support machining of components using lathes
Assist with tool assembly
Support basic inspection using micrometers
and height indicators
Maintain a clean and organised work area following 5S principles

How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Working closely with experienced Toolmakers; Work collaboratively with Toolroom, Production, and Quality teams
