Join us as a **Tool Room Machinist** in our **Chardon facility**. You will utilize a wide variety of machines to create prototypes, parts for the production lines, maintenance and engineering departments; based on prints, sketches, and verbal instructions. **You will** : * Sets up and operates grinders (outside diameter, inside diameter, and surfaces) * Create, edit and optimize CNC lathe programs (G-code and/or conversational) * Sets up and operates manual and CNC mills * Sets up and operates band saw and cut saw * Sets up and operates CNC lathes (tooling, work holding, offsets) * Sets up and operates manual lathes * Performs miscellaneous lay-out and handwork * Works quickly and accurately under time constraints * Verifies conformance of finished work piece(s) to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers **Key Qualifications** : * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Detail-oriented to check work for accuracy and safety * Experience with Mig & Tig welding a plus * Experience with Gibbs Cam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks a plus * 5 years’ experience in tool room machine shop environment is required * Must be skilled in operating a variety of tooling machines **Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!)** : 1st shift: 5:45am to 4:15pm, Monday to Thursday **Compensation** : The hourly pay for this role is: **$25 to $33 /hr.
