minimum 2+ years of verifiable tool and die experience or equivalent, intermediate level of machining and metal working experience, understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions, work up to 12 hours per day, including Saturday and Sunday, obtain a hi-lo license, read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications

Nice to Have

Journeyman or completed apprenticeship, Mastercam and Solidworks experience, mechanical and shop math aptitude

What You'll Do.

Analyzes specifications

Studies specifications such as blueprints

and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts

and determines assembly method and sequence of operations

and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications

Lifts machined parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or worktable

Smooths flat and contoured surfaces using power grinders and fits and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms

Heat treats tools or parts

Examines standard or previously used dies

and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part

Troubleshoot tooling analysis and resolve problems to obtain quality level of parts

Follow all safety precautions and company policies to prevent injury to self and others
