High school diploma or equivalent, Completion of Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship, Proficiency in reading blueprints, Experience using lathes, grinders, milling machines, Ability to lift and move heavy objects, Proven experience as Die Setter, Familiarity with stamping presses, Ability to read setup sheets, Mechanical aptitude, Experience overhead crane, Understanding geometric tolerances
Nice to Have
Equivalent experience as maintenance technician, Equivalent experience as welding technician, Equivalent experience as tool technician, Equivalent experience as die maintenance technician, Experience with roll forming operations
What You'll Do.
Read and interpret blueprints
Design and build tools and jigs
Inspect finished tools and dies
Repair and maintain existing tools
Collaborate with production teams
Troubleshoot tool/die issues
Ensure tools meet safety standards
Maintain records of maintenance
Set up and install dies
Feed up and in to die
Adjust and align dies
Inspect tooling before use
Inspect tooling after use
Recommend minor repairs
Work closely with machine operators
Work closely with maintenance staff
Work closely with quality control
Troubleshoot die and press problems
Operate overhead crane
Run the production line
