Full Job Description
## **Job Description** **Primary Duties:** The Tire Installer’s primary responsibility is to add value to each client’s transaction ensuring that they are satisfied with their experience buying at Western Auto and that upon leaving the store are completely satisfied with their purchase. Removes worn or defective tires and replaces them with new tires using the necessary tools and equipment. **1. **Reads and comprehends training manuals, service tickets, etc. **2. **Has basic knowledge about vehicles. **3. **Checks basic elements of the vehicle’s tires according to Western Auto’s methods for tire and courtesy inspections. **4. **Installs, replaces, and fixes tires and provides tire balancing services. **5. **Uses knowledge of diagnostic equipment - tire installation machines and balancing, and tire repair equipment. **6. **Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and the ability to drive cars with manual or automatic transmissions. **7. **Handles a fast-paced work environment, stress, and stressful situations in a professional manner. **8. **Performs maintenance tasks - sweeping/mopping the workshop floor, cleaning/maintaining the equipment, emptying the garbage bins, cleaning the parking area, etc. **9. **Operates the workshop lifts appropriately. **10. **Is competitive and has a team player’s attitude. **11. **Follows the company guidelines in terms of protection, safety, hygiene, and the dress code. **12. **Can install batteries if they are a mechanics student and a supervisor is nearby. Physical Requirements: This job requires continually standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, turning around, and lifting weights up to approximately 75 lbs. (sometimes the weight will exceed 75 lbs). Performs additional tasks as required.
