What You'll Achieve.
Ensure Mimecast maintains an exceptional sending reputation; Identify compromised email addresses; Identify senders with poor mailing practices; Identify threats such as Business Email Compromise (BEC); Ensure solutions remain effective in combating email-borne threats; Provide customers with prompt feedback and intelligence on email-borne threats; Remediate threats from customer email environment; Reduce dwell time; Put appropriate detections in place; Prevent further incidents; Ensure security-focused solutions are performing accurately and efficiently; Verify Mimecast can detect latest email-borne threats; Improve detection at spam, URL, and attachment security layers; Strive for proactive approaches to threat detection; Meet and exceed team goals

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience and understanding of email security technologies, Working knowledge of messaging (email traffic management) and routing, Strong understanding of Domain Name System (DNS), Strong understanding of SMTP, SSL/TLS, POP3, IMAP, TCP/IP, Experience working with email/malware detection and blocking techniques, Experience working in a Security Operation Center (SOC), Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, Curiosity about the infrastructure of phishing/malicious email campaigns, Experience working with threat intelligence platforms, Ability to learn from real-world incidents, Familiarity with AI tools and their application in cybersecurity workflows, Experience working within SaaS environments, Ability to handle escalations from the Associates team and provide quick turnaround response or escalate to the Threat Response Analyst II team, Actively contribute to team performance metrics by ensuring timely and accurate case handling, thorough documentation of findings and actions, and effective collaboration with team members to meet and exceed team goals, Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement, leveraging creative problem-solving skills to enhance threat detection, response workflows, and overall team efficiency
Nice to Have
CompTIA Security + or equivalent certification, 1 + years’ experience working with the Mimecast platform, Provide mentoring and buddy-pairing support system to the Associates and Graduates
