High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, Leadership, communication, and organizational skills, Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges, Mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting ability
Nice to Have
Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, or equivalent machining, Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
What You'll Do.
and direct daily Tool Room
Ensure operational consistency
Ensure employee development
Ensure tooling reliability
Ensure alignment across all shifts
Lead tooling activities
Drive continuous improvement across the operation
Lead and support daily Tool Room operations
Lead and support tooling maintenance activities
Coordinate repair priorities to support production needs
Support preventive maintenance programs for molds
Support preventive maintenance programs for tooling systems
Review downtime reports
Review efficiency reports
Identify improvement opportunities
Coordinate activities with Maintenance
Coordinate activities with Scheduling
Coordinate activities with Molding
Coordinate activities with Printing
Coordinate activities with other departments
Communicate priorities across all shifts
Communicate updates across all shifts
Communicate operational expectations across all shifts
Support onboarding of Tool Room employees
Support training of Tool Room employees
Support development of Tool Room employees
Conduct employee evaluations
Provide performance feedback
Reinforce accountability
Reinforce continuous improvement
Enforce company policies
Enforce safety standards
Enforce good manufacturing practices
Maintain tooling maintenance records
Maintain documentation
Support the development of Tool Room processes
Support the improvement of Tool Room processes
Support tooling-related organization
Support workflow organization
Support operational systems organization
Make recommendations for tooling improvement needs
Make recommendations for capital improvement needs
Assist with recruiting activities
Assist with interviewing activities
Support other Amcor facilities
Coordinate with vendors
Coordinate with suppliers
Perform Thermoforming Tooling Technician duties
Complete additional assignments as directed
Participate in required pre-shift stretching activities
