Eligibility Requirements

Occasional overnight travel, Emergency response is an essential duty, When on call for when determined by supervisor, carry cell phone after hours and be able to report to dispatch center within 30 minutes after being requested, Work schedule is a 10-hour rotating shift, Must be available to work holidays and weekends, During increased activity, work schedules will increase to a 12-hour shift, Security-sensitive position, Criminal history investigation

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

PC-based programs and software, Utilize latest dispatch software and equipment, Multi-task and work cooperatively with others, Good verbal and written communication skills, Valid Texas Driver's License or ability to acquire one within 30 days of hire

Nice to Have

Formal education in emergency response dispatch or other communications field, Experience in wildland firefighting or emergency response, Familiarity with state radio/dispatch protocol, Using PC in the reporting and tracking of emergency response incidents, NWCG RADO and Dispatch Recorder

What You'll Do.

Dispatch agency and inter-agency resources

Disseminate daily intelligence reports

Maintain agency credit cards

Account for agency credit cards

Manage agency vehicle log books

Account for agency equipment

Support aviation operations statewide

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work cooperatively with others; Maintain good communication with TICC; Communicate regularly with field personnel and supervisor
