ABOUT THE ROLE You will join the Test Bench team — the engineering team responsible for designing, deploying, and operating all automated test and production infrastructure at Harmattan AI. The team works at the intersection of R&D and manufacturing, building the systems that validate every product that leaves our facility. As our first on-site engineer, you will be the team’s presence at our manufacturing facility: keeping test stations running, driving continuous improvement on the line, and acting as the direct link between the factory floor and the engineers in Paris. You will work closely with the Test Bench Engineers who design the stations you operate, with full visibility into the technical decisions behind them. As the factory scales, you will also have the opportunity to train and coach a small team of on-site maintenance technicians.   RESPONSIBILITIES TEST STATION OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE - Perform Test Station qualification and commissioning. - Ensure the availability and reliability of automated test benches across the production line. - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and integration issues, escalating to the engineering team when needed. - Monitor station health and proactively flag degradation before it impacts production. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT - Identify recurring failure modes and work with the Test and Production Systems team to implement lasting fixes. - Contribute to improving
