Operate and oversee medical equipment, ensuring functionality and safety, Respond promptly to alarms and auditory signals in a high-noise environment, Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs, Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements, Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors, Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication, Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc., Frequent keyboard use/data entry, Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping, Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs, Rare climbing

Must Have

High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

What You'll Do.

Operate and oversee medical equipment

Respond promptly to alarms

Answer incoming calls professionally

Assist in preparing discharge documentation

Ensure continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythms

Observe cardiac rhythms

Maintain records and reports of rhythm strips

Run strip at time of admission

Run strip every 4 hours

Run strip with any rhythm change

Interpret rhythm accurately

Complete rhythm verification form

Post strips on telemetry log

Notify appropriate unit and staff for rhythm changes

Ensure alarms are on at all times

Set alarms at appropriate limits

Notify appropriate staff when electrodes or batteries need attention

Demonstrate awareness of procedure/medication effects on rhythm

Run continuous strip for sustained VT

Maintain telemetry logs

Maintain current patient information

Perform transmitter/SPO2 inventory per shift

Maintain telemetry charges

Work in a constant state of alertness

Perform other duties as assigned

Team & Collaboration

Coordinate logistics for discharge preparation; Notify appropriate unit and staff for any changes in baseline rhythm; Notify appropriate staff when electrodes or batteries need to be checked, replaced or changed

Communication Scope

Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently; Provide accurate information; Direct inquiries appropriately; Share information through oral communication; Hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery
