High school diploma or equivalent, Successful completion of EKG certification program, Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously

Recognize and correct monitor interference

Report dysrhythmias immediately

Record monitor strips every 4 hours

Ensure telemetry monitor alarms are on

Retrieve stored rhythms upon request

Oversee supply inventory

Report malfunctioning equipment
