At Sika, the Technician will: * Be responsible for laboratory testing, product development and laboratory housekeeping * Perform laboratory testing, collect data, and record results * Follow all safety protocols and established procedures Preferred Skills * High School Diploma or College degree in General Sciences * Some industry experiences related to rubber, plastics or adhesive materials * Able to follow instruction and work independently * Good communicating and writing skill Specific Responsibilities: * Compound formulation and products per instruction given * Test laboratory samples, production samples and raw materials. * Work on minor projects, testing plan, with minimum supervision. * Keep accurate records of all formulations and test results, generating reports and flagging any abnormalities * Prepare reports or memos on assigned tasks or projects. * Maintain the laboratory equipment in good operating conditions. * Maintain assigned work areas and community work areas
