Must Have
High School Diploma/GED, Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in English, Ability to clearly and legibly record data and initials on logs and forms, Ability to communicate clearly (orally and written) with team members and management, Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for accurate weighing and dilution calculations, Basic knowledge of computers and operating systems, Regularly required to see, talk, or hear, Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit, Occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, Employee must pass a standardized color deficiency test with a score of > 80%

Prior laboratory or commercial experience with material preparation, cleaning, or precise documentation, Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Operate/document use of the autoclave and glassware dishwasher
Assist other technicians with basic tasks
Submit IT and Facilities support requests
Serve as a designated trainer for new hires on Lab Support core duties
Managing waste streams (regular

Full Job Description
# **Come Be Part of a Mission that Matters!** The **Laboratory Technician Support** team member performs a wide variety of laboratory tasks and experiments. May make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results. Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies. May write experimental reports, summaries and protocols. May also be responsible for media preparation in the research and development area, including experiments as required and outlined. May also develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed. Performs limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments. May perform glass washing. **Hours:** 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** * The QC Lab Support role is fundamental to the successful, compliant operation of the QC Lab, ensuring technicians have the materials and environment needed for accurate testing. * Central responsibility for preparing, labeling, and quality documentation of all microbiological media, buffers, and cleaning solutions. This includes accurate weighing, pH adjustment, autoclaving, and log entries. * Responsible for daily lab cleaning and managing waste streams (regular, chemical, solid biohazard, and liquid biohazard). * Strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Aseptic Technique to maintain the integrity of the BSL-2 lab environment. * Perform daily temperature logging for critical equipment (incubators, refrigerators, freezers), assist with routine preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, perform pH meter calibration, and operate/document use of the autoclave and glassware dishwasher. * Assist other technicians with basic tasks, submit IT and Facilities support requests, and serve as a designated trainer for new hires on Lab Support core duties. **Skills and Competencies:** * **Attention to Detail & Documentation:** Exhibits strong attention to detail to ensure accurate log entries
