Coordinate, optimise, and deliver—where technical strategy meets real-world mining performance Anglo American Steelmaking Coal Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia. We are seeking a highly organised and driven Technical Services Coordinator to join our Aquila underground coal operation in Middlemount, QLD. This role is integral to supporting our industry-leading autonomous longwall systems and ensuring the seamless execution of technical and operational plans. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, geologists, and surveyors to translate medium- and long-term strategies into actionable, task-based outcomes. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will coordinate projects, develop operational work instructions, and track technical performance metrics to ensure plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. With regular underground exposure, you will play a hands-on role in planning and continuous improvement, while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve key business objectives. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will: * Utilise Mine Planned to develop short and medium term mine plans * Co-Ordinate the PTM process on site * Liaise with Integrated Planning team to ensure alignment of mine schedules * Provide updates to operational and engineering teams to enable them to meet planning cycles * Break down medium- and long-term plans into coordinated, task-based outcomes * Manage and coordinate project groups as required * Conduct frequent underground inspecti
