experience in a technical security, assurance, or architecture role, solid grasp of how to secure modern environments across applications, infrastructure, and cloud, comfortable reviewing designs, challenging decisions, signing off when things meet the right standard, ability to turn complex security concepts into straightforward guidance, curiosity about what’s next, ability to keep up to date with AI, new tooling, or evolving threats, ability to apply knowledge to improve security, proactive, ability to spot gaps, ability to suggest better ways of doing things, ability to take ownership of improving how security is embedded across the organisation, pass an enhanced security vetting process
