Full Job Description

About Ahrefs Ahrefs is a SaaS marketing platform that helps businesses become discoverable and unmissable online. We're a proudly bootstrapped, profitable, lean, multinational startup with a global team passionate about technology and the future of online discovery. Our suite of tools covers everything from search marketing to content strategy, backed by one of the largest datasets in the industry (3 trillion external backlinks, 3 trillion HTML snapshots). As we evolve with AI and the changing landscape of online marketing, we're looking for people who share our love of technology and our drive to solve real problems. The Role We're hiring a Technical Script Writer to join our video team in Cambridge, MA. You'll be writing scripts and voiceovers for our YouTube channel, specifically the technical videos our current team finds hardest to crack. Think: AI tool comparisons, automation workflows, testing every image generator on the market. As we branch deeper into AI, there's more than enough work, and we need someone who can translate complex concepts into clear, engaging scripts without dumbing them down. You'll also be a self-starter who stays plugged into the market, pitches video ideas, and helps shape what we cover next. What You'll Do Write scripts for technical YouTube videos, AI tools, automation demos, in-depth product tests. Run your own tests and experiments when a script requires hands-on validation (e. g. "I tested 12 AI writing tools — here's what actually works"). Write and record voiceover for higher-lift technical videos that require explaining APIs, workflows, or emerging AI concepts. Stay on top of the AI and marketing tool landscape, what's launching, what's overhyped, what our audience needs to know. Pitch video ideas to the team based on market trends, audience questions, and gaps in our coverage. Collaborate with video editors and producers to refine scripts based on visual storytelling needs. Use AI assistants and tools to speed up research, bu
