Full Job Description
Project Kuiper, Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead critical initiatives that will help connect underserved communities worldwide. In this role, you will drive complex, cross-functional programs that span hardware, software, and operations, ensuring the successful delivery of Kuiper's satellite and ground station infrastructure. Export Control: This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed. Key job responsibilities - Program Leadership: Lead large-scale, complex technical programs across multiple teams and disciplines, from inception to delivery - Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive program plans aligned with Kuiper's mission and business objectives - Cross-functional Coordination: Orchestrate efforts across engineering, operations, product, and business teams to ensure seamless program execution - Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact program success, developing contingency plans as needed - Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership, external partners, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and alignment - Technical Expertise: Leverage deep technical understanding to facilitate decision-making and problem-solving across teams - Process Improvement: Implement and optimize program management methodologies to increase efficiency and scalability - Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain program KPIs, providing regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes A day in the life As a Technical Program Manager on the Kuiper Devices & Systems team, you'll drive critical device management and security initiatives across the organization.
