What They're Looking For.
Must Have
4+ years of relevant work experience, Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working, Can use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
Nice to Have
4+ years of data center engineering experience, Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling, Experience in data center engineering, Can perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
What You'll Do.
Undertake and support management of routine maintenance
Undertake and support management of emergency service of
Installation of new rack capacity
Provisioning of power/cooling
On-site management of contractors and vendors
Establish performance benchmarks
Prepare reports and documentation of critical facility infrastructure
Manage the facility’s assets
Generate change management requests
Generate incident management tickets for all facility related
Assist in the resolution of infrastructure engineering and
Collaborate with data center IT managers and other
Coordinate day to day operations
Optimize plant safety
Drive & implement projects to increase current facility
Assist in the design implementation of new data
Assist in the build out of new data
Attend operational meetings
Mentor less experienced engineering operations technicians
Develop less experienced engineering operations technicians
Plan maintenance activities for critical infrastructure
Schedule maintenance activities for critical infrastructure
Collaborate on solving complex engineering problems impacting critical
Collaboration with other AWS data centre regions globally
