We are seeking a Technical / Laboratory Assistant to provide technical support and research assistance within a laboratory environment. The role involves preparing laboratories for experiments and teaching activities, supporting research and data collection, maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring safe and compliant laboratory operations. Your key responsibilities will be to: * provide technical support and research assistance to staff, students and researchers within the laboratory * prepare the laboratory for experiments, practicals and tutorials in accordance with scientific protocols * assist with experiments in collaboration with researchers, students and technical staff * train staff, visitors and students in the safe operation of laboratory equipment * coordinate cleaning and sterilisation of laboratory materials, tools and equipment * maintain laboratory supplies and equipment, including coordinating maintenance and repairs * assist with the safe storage and disposal of hazardous substances * support a clean and safe laboratory environment in line with health and safety requirements * assist with preparation of scientific documentation, including data collection and analysis * undertake other duties and projects appropriate within the clas
