What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Full grade twelve (G12) school certificate, Minimum of Technicians Certificate in mechanical fitting or trade equivalent, Local applicant must be registered with EIZ, All qualifications must be certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA), A minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable coaching experience (or a formal coaching certification) in workforce upskilling, including deployment and execution of the programs within an organization, A minimum of 10 years’ maintenance experience in a fixed plant within a mineral processing plant operation, with 3 – 5 years at supervisory level, Knowledge and application of safety in a process and mining environment or similar, Essential knowledge and experience with: Maintenance of Centrifugal pumps, vertical spindle pumps, peristaltic pumps, gear and screw pumps, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Bolting and Torque techniques, Bearing Installation and Maintenance, Drive systems (couplings installation, V-belts drive systems, alignment), Compressors and Blowers Maintenance, Precision measurements, Pipes and flanges installation and maintenance, Gearbox installation and maintenance, Conveyor belts Technical Troubleshooting – advising on complex repairs using structured troubleshooting techniques, Experience with standard reliability maintenance processes and KPIs – RCAs, MTBF, MTTR, FMECA, Experience with the use of a computerized maintenance management system (such as PRONTO), Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs, Experience with working with learning management systems (LMS)

A degree in the relevant field of study will be an added advantage, Smelter experience will be an added advantage
What You'll Do.
Adhere to all relevant requirements

Provide on-the-job coaching to the fitting artisans and technicians
Use ‘On the job’ coaching as the primary method
supported by formal training modules
Prepare training materials for the delivery of the training and coaching
Deliver structured training sessions based on identified skills gaps
Champion quality and provide visible leadership ‘on-the-floor’
Support fault diagnosis and corrective actions to minimize downtimes through coaching
Use effective listening
assertiveness and questioning to support learners
Use assessments and observations to identify skill gaps and deliver suitable interventions
Design and complete assessments based on the FQM sites and operation using the Proficiency Framework
Act as independent assessor for other FQM operations running the proficiency framework
Identify high potential Artisans with ability and aspiration to progress to more senior roles and support their development
Keep a record of interventions
assigned actions and progress using the learning management tools
Evaluate and report on the impact and effectiveness of the ongoing coaching
Work closely with the training department to define training needs based on completed assessments
Provide feedback on the coaching interventions
observation and results to Supervisors and Senior Supervisors
Create a coaching culture across the organization and upskill the coaching methodologies
Collaborate with the supervisory stuff and HR to align coaching with the organizational goals and needs
