What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree required, 5+ years of experience in Medicaid, criminal justice, behavioral health or reentry health programs, 2+ years experience in providing technical assistance to states or agencies
Nice to Have
Master’s degree in public health, social work, law, public policy, or criminal justice preferred, Interest or experience in both Medicaid and correctional systems, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is deadline driven, Passion for improving health outcomes for people returning from incarceration, Interest or experience in both Medicaid and correctional systems, which could include direct experience working within one or both of these systems

### About the Health and Reentry Project (HARP) Access to health care is vital for successful second chances, yet many people returning to communities after incarceration do not get care when they need it. The Health and Reentry Project (HARP) is a growing national nonprofit organization that builds safer, healthier communities by improving access to health care for people leaving incarceration. One of HARP’s central priorities is providing technical assistance to states, local governments, correctional facilities, and community organizations to ensure that health and reentry policies are successfully implemented. You can learn more about HARP and our work at [our website](https://healthandreentryproject.org/). ### The Opportunity HARP is seeking a Technical Assistance Associate to deliver hands-on support to state agencies implementing policies that aim to improve continuity of care for people leaving incarceration. This role will help translate federal policies into implementation approaches, develop guidance materials, and track program progress to ensure states successfully implement Medicaid reentry programs. The Technical Assistance Associate will report directly to the Director of Technical Assistance. **Requirements** ### Responsibilities * Project Coordination: Support planning and implementation of state-level technical assistance projects. * Technical Assistance Delivery: Provide 1:1 and cohort technical assistance in the field to state health and correctional agencies on Medicaid policy and/or correctional health systems. This includes occasionally traveling to clients on site. * Policy and Operations Analysis and Translation: Help state health and correctional agencies implement Medicaid 1115 reentry demonstration waivers by analyzing key policies and translating policy guidance into on-the-ground operations. * Resource Development: In collaboration with the team, develop guidance, toolkits, and other implementation resources for state health and correc
