What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in CPA required, 7–10+ years of experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting, knowledge of U. S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, Experience with complex transactions (debt, equity, capital markets) required
Nice to Have
Big 4 + public company preferred, Exposure to digital assets / crypto accounting is a plus
What You'll Do.
Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions
Draft and maintain accounting position papers and memos
Partner with auditors to support accounting conclusions and resolve technical matters
Support preparation and review of SEC filings
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statement disclosures
Collaborate with legal
and investor relations on disclosure matters
Provide accounting support for capital markets activity
Coordinate with internal and external auditors on comfort letters
and transaction execution
Evaluate accounting implications of new structures and financing strategies
Partner closely with external auditors on technical positions and emerging accounting topics
Assess and document internal control implications of new and complex transactions
Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support SOX 404 compliance
Ensure appropriate controls are designed and operating effectively
Support system implementations from an accounting and controls perspective
Drive process improvements to enhance scalability
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner with auditors to support accounting conclusions and resolve technical matters; Collaborate with legal, FP&A, and investor relations on disclosure matters; Coordinate with internal and external auditors on comfort letters, consents, and transaction execution; Partner closely with external auditors on technical positions and emerging accounting topics; Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support SOX 404 compliance; Partner with Treasury, Legal, Tax, IT and Finance teams to drive alignment on accounting and reporting outcomes
