Headquartered in Redwood City, CA, SB Energy develops, builds, owns assess business impact and support adoption efforts Support preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting by ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and disclosures Maintain and update accounting policies, whitepapers, and internal guidance documentation Provide technical accounting support for significant contracts and transactions, including review of commercial agreements in partnership with Legal and FP CPA required (or active pursuit) 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on technical accounting in a public company or SEC‑regulated environment Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS reporting considerations Demonstrated experience researching, interpreting, and documenting complex accounting topics and non‑routine transactions Familiarity with SOX requirements and internal controls related to complex accounting areas Experience preparing technical accounting memos, policy documentation, and audit support materials Ability to partner effectively with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and external auditors Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills with sound professional judgment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical matters to non‑accounting stakeholders High level of attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Preferred
