What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud‑native applications, 1+ years of engineering management experience of a full stack team, BSA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience, coding skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Java, C++, Javascript, Product‑minded: you prioritize customer impact, clear SLAs/SLOs, and pragmatic iteration, Ownership‑driven with a positive, proactive comfortable leading projects or learning from battle‑tested engineers, You have experience building enterprise SaaS, enterprise platform, admin console, or similarly configurable product experiences, Experience working on products where usability, governance, permissions, and technical complexity all matter, Experience mentoring engineers with different technical strengths, including frontend and backend team members, Ability to operate in ambiguity and shape roadmap, architecture, and team execution in a fast-moving environment, cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort partnering with product, design, security, and platform teams

What You'll Do.
Lead and grow the Admin Console engineering team
Provide people leadership and technical direction
Own architecture and execution for core admin-facing workflows
Simplify complex enterprise workflows
Make the admin experience more intuitive and scalable
Evolve the Admin Console from a system centered on crawlers and data setup into a broader control plane for enterprise context
and AI capability management
Improve self-serve activation
Improve visibility into crawl health
and rollout readiness
Build systems and workflows that help admins safely scale Glean across users
and capabilities over time through a coherent interface
Deliver unified admin experiences that sit on top of platform and infrastructure layers
