What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in leading software solutioning and development, reviewing designs, and support of production systems, hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot / Spring Framework, Working experience with Node. js for backend or supporting services, Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes / AKS, Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, Experience with Redis and/or Infinispan, understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms and modern design patterns, Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices, Experience working in GCC Azure environments, Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and data privacy compliance requirements in government contexts, Observability and monitoring (logs, metrics, tracing), Service mesh or Istio concepts, Security scanning, vulnerability remediation, or SAST tools, Infrastructure-as-Code or Helm experience, Ability to communicate technical considerations to non-engineering stakeholders, Experience working with UX, Data and other functions to support cross-functional delivery, Demonstrated ability to understand business needs/goals and recommend solutions that maximise product value, Adaptable to fast-paced environments and changing project requirements
Nice to Have
Familiarity with modern web technologies/frameworks (e. g. , React, Angular) where required for integration or troubleshooting, Familiarity with Keycloak or equivalent IAM solutions, Familiarity with SHIP / HATS or equivalent CI/CD toolchains, Exposure to government identity integrations such as Singpass (where applicable), Experience with additional backend languages/frameworks such as Python/Django (where applicable), Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Familiarity with WOG AI Tools
