Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl, Animal Welfare background check will be required, 1 to 5 trips per year
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, 3 plus years in poultry, Elementary computer skills
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in animal science, poultry science, or agricultural related fields, at least 1 year breeder experience
What You'll Do.
Provide technical assistance to producers
Advise producers regarding building and equipment specifications
Advise producers regarding litter manipulation
Advise producers regarding farm sanitation
Visit farms to document bird comfort
Monitor bird health and provide remedy
Monitor feed consumption and order feed
Coordinate chick placements to farms
Ensure communication between hatchery
Ensure producer and company compliance with production contract
Ensure USDA and government regulations are followed
Coordinate weekly chick placements
Perform other responsibilities as needed
