The**Animal Sciences and Technologies department** is a global function delivering in vivo studies, animal care, and animal welfare in compliance with internal standards and external regulations. The principles of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) are applied across all aspects of animal care and study conduct. **The role** As Team Leader, you will oversee a dynamic group working closely with colleagues across AstraZeneca’s safety science organisation, including senior leaders and specialists in safety and inhalation sciences. Key responsibility for the team is to provide high standards of animal care, welfare, and husbandry, ensuring all activities are carried out in line with internal standards, external regulations, and the principles of the 3Rs. Your team will be responsible for designing, conducting, and reporting investigative safety studies, including high-dose pharmacokinetic (PK) and tolerability investigations. The team will also support inhalation studies and respiratory measurements, and experience in these areas would be an advantage. Leading in vivo study design meetings will be an important part of the role. You will contribute to study director initiatives aimed at developing best practices and implementing quality control strategies in
