What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1-2 years' experience of AR Follow-Up, Experience in Professional CMS 1500 Billing, Experience in Multiple Clearinghouses, Experience in Billing Systems, Experience in EMR’s, Knowledge of Multiple States Billing Requirements, Knowledge of Commercial Payers, Knowledge of Government Payers
Nice to Have
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, medical assisting, or a related field
What You'll Do.
Oversee the operations of the Follow Up team
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency
Improve overall process for assigned responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the team
Monitor timecards and time off calendar
Coordinate and assist in training employees
Answer team members' questions
Distribute daily workflows to team members
Host frequent team meetings
Monitor employee productivity
Monitor ageing claims
Monitor & ensure denials production
Monitor insurance calls production
Identify and resolve trending AR issues
Manage and review workflow folders
Review Work Manager items
Review and distribute Client Request List
Review unfavorable appeals
Follow up on unpaid claims
Contact insurance companies
Inquire on claims denied in error
Resolve claims for payment
Utilize online websites and portals
Identify denial trends
Report issues with insurance carriers
Process appeals on denied claims
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Build successful working relationships with Follow Up staff on and offshore; Collaborate with highly skilled subject matter specialists; Collaborate with operations executives; Work closely with the Follow Up Managers to carry out process improvements; Alert Follow Up Managers to issues; Work with other departments and team members; Distribute Client Request List to the Client Service team
