Must Have
Candidate should have an educational background in mathematics or other STEM fields, mathematics education or other STEM education fields, or elementary school (K-6) education., Must be a graduate (master’s or PhD) student enrolled in a graduate program at McGill University for the Fall 2026 term., Familiarity with course content., Must be available to attend classes (Tuesday & Thursday, 2:35-5:25 PM), English, spoken and written., French, spoken and written as section 003 will be taught to PIF students.
Nice to Have
Formal or non-formal experience with teaching mathematics at the K-12 levels is an asset., Those who do not have teaching experience in mathematics should have experience and knowledge of mathematics education research or another related field., Experience in teaching, supporting, or coaching mathematics K-12 teachers is an asset., Understanding and experience with practice-based pedagogies of teacher education is an asset., Having completed the course Seminar in Practice-based Teacher Education is an asset.
