Must Have

Bachelor's degree, Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Education Agency, Valid Special Education Certification EC-12, Demonstrate competency through Texas Content Competency Worksheet, Received statement of eligibility, Special Education Specialist Certification EC-12, De-Escalation/Restraint Certification (CPI) required to obtain once hired, Ability to plan and implement lessons, Ability to establish skills, both oral and written, Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate technology equipment and software programs, Proven ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory

What You'll Do.

Provide instruction to students with varying disabilities

Develop skills and knowledge for grade-level curriculum access

Use accommodations and/or modifications

Organize sequential and meaningful instructional materials

Gear instruction to student's assessed needs

Align instruction with IEP goals and objectives

Execute behavioral strategies as indicated in ARD documents

Intervene using behavior intervention strategies

Utilize data collection tools

Document ongoing student program

Maintain accurate records

Monitor and adjust instructional plans

Monitor and adjust behavioral plans

Monitor and adjust social emotional educational plans

Use appropriate adaptive equipment

Use assistive technology

Fully implement students' IEPS

Implement behavioral intervention plans

Implement social skills plans

Implement accommodations of materials

Implement modifications of materials

Implement accommodations of curriculum

Implement modifications of curriculum

Provide for basic needs of students

Assist with personal care

Assist with toileting

Collaborate with general education teachers
