Full Job Description
Objectives: Own and define the T-Box system and connectivity architecture for China, covering both current projects and future platform direction. Ensure robust, secure, and compliant solutions by evaluating and integrating China market needs, global requirements, and HQ input, while driving innovation and technical leadership in T-Box and vehicle connectivity domain. Task description: Define and maintain future-proof T-Box system & connectivity architecture for current and future generations Lead protocol strategy ( cross system, public/private, in-vehicle and cloud), T-Box OTA/FOTA/SOTA, and T-Box system feature concepts (diagnostic, flashing, power modes, etc.) Ensure regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, as well as function safety if needed, in all architecture deliverables with consideration of technological advantage and cost perspective Work with industry partners, regulation working groups, CN stakeholders, as well as align with HQ and global teams for synergy, concept reuse, and overall technical strategy Guide suppliers, partners, and internal teams on technical solutions, issue resolution, and best practices Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). 8+ years in T-Box/connected vehicle/telematics or adjacent ECU architecture; 5+ years as system/solution architect or technical lead. Proven record of T-Box SOP program delivery in China, exposure to global projects is a plus. Deep knowledge of in-vehicle networks, connectivity stack, OTA, cybersecurity, diagnostics, regulatory/homologation, and data privacy. Fluent in English and Mandarin; strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills.. In-depth understanding of in-vehicle networks (CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, DoIP, SOME/IP, UDS), connectivity stack (LTE/5G, GNSS, eSIM/eUICC, TCP/IP, TLS, MQTT/HTTP/2), and OTA (FOTA/SOTA) concepts.
