Our Region Services team redefines the way AWS designs, builds, and operates AWS regions to enable new AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Services offerings to customers across every industry and of every size, including start-ups, enterprises, and public sector organizations. We are looking for passionate Systems Engineers ready to solve the world's most complex technical challenges through innovative cloud computing solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong development abilities to drive innovation and operational excellence when designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions across Route 53. Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) service offered by Amazon Web Services. We operate in over 50 locations worldwide and provide advanced functionality such as latency-based routing (LBR), Private DNS, Geo DNS routing, DNS failover, and integration with a number of AWS services. On top of that, we offer fast change propagation with a 100% availability SLA. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them. This position can be based at our Melbourne or Sydney office locations. Key job responsibilities - Drive continuous improvement from disparate data through tooling and automation. - Drive root cause analyses, in collaboration with software development teams, as well as influencing local development to improve operational performance - Work in an environment where operational excellence is truly the first priority, and where the degree of automation is above bar - Use data, feedback, and subject matter expertise
