Full Job Description
**Systems Engineer (Business & Infrastructure Operations)** We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support federal government programs by designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and cloud-based infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across data and analytics platforms, while supporting integration, deployment, and operational stability. The ideal candidate will have experience working in AWS-based environments and supporting modern data platforms, with a strong focus on system integration, troubleshooting, and operational support. **Location** This is a hybrid role which may require occasional travel to the DC Metro area for onsite client meetings. Preference to candidates located within the Washington, DC Metro area. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections. **What You Will Do** * Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems and infrastructure within AWS environments * Support system integration across applications, data platforms, and services to ensure seamless interoperability * Manage and maintain development, test, staging, and production environments * Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, implementing improvements as needed * Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and infrastructure issues across environments * Support software deployments and releases in coordination with DevSecOps and development teams * Optimize system performance, scalability, and resource utilization * Support data and analytics platforms, including Databricks, Tableau, and database systems * Collaborate with technical teams, including architects, developers, and database administrators, to deliver integrated solutions * Assist in configuration management, system upgrades, and patching activities * Maintain system doc
