What They're Looking For.
Must Have
4+ years in SysOps, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering, hands-on experience with a major cloud platform — GCP strongly preferred (GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Run, GCS, IAM, VPC networking), Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code, Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration, Solid understanding of deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling) and CI/CD pipelines, Experience building observability stacks — structured logging, metrics, alerting, and dashboards (Datadog, Grafana, or similar), Comfort writing and maintaining runbooks and operational documentation
Nice to Have
Experience with security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar), Experience with multi-region cloud architectures and data residency considerations, Familiarity with GCP security services — VPC Service Controls, Private Service Connect, Workload Identity, Background in a SaaS environment serving enterprise customers, Exposure to data pipeline infrastructure and batch processing systems

ABOUT THE ROLE This is Prophet's first dedicated SysOps hire — and you will be the person who owns the reliability, deployment, and operational maturity of our GCP-native cloud platform. You'll be accountable for the health of production: the deployment pipeline, the observability stack, incident response, and the infrastructure-as-code that makes all of it repeatable. Your work gives the engineering team — and our enterprise customers — confidence that the platform is solid, visible, and recoverable. As Prophet expands into new markets, you'll also shape the multi-region architecture and build the operational foundation that allows the SysOps function to grow. This is a high-ownership role where you'll have real influence over how Prophet's infrastructure evolves. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own Prophet's cloud infrastructure.
