JOIN OUR TEAM VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a fast growing, 24/7 Specialty and Emergency/Critical Care hospital seeking full-time ER/ICU Technician Assistant. Location: 16756 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015 Compensation: $ 21 - $ 25 / hr Schedule: Thursday through Saturday 12pm to 12am Job Description: As an important member of the patient care team at VCA NWVS, a Technician Assistant, gives a first impression and sets the tone for the practice through their interactions with clients and referring veterinarians. Combining customer service with compassion, we develop a relationship with our clients, as well as positively impact our business. The ER/ICU Technician Assistant also plays a critical role in maintaining patient care for hospitalized patients and helping with outpatient treatments for Emergency cases. Skills and Qualifications: The successful candidate will share VCA NWVS's commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service. He/she will bring a positive attitude, a service orientation, and high energy along with: • At least one year of veterinary experience. • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. • Excellent listening and communication skills: both verbal and written. • Compassion for pets and people--as well as awareness, understanding and respect for others' choices. • Proven decision making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action. • The ability to integrate new information into problem solving. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergens, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.
