What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the agro-food sector., Master's degree in Sustainability, Business Management or a comparable field., Demonstrable expertise in ESG: Scope 1, 2 & 3, CSRD, LCA, SBTi, EUDR and related frameworks., Experience with cross-functional stakeholder and change management.
Nice to Have
A background in the agricultural sector is a plus., Fluent in Dutch and German is a plus.
What You'll Do.
Coordinating the implementation of the FPSC strategy within Cosun Beet Company.
Translating ambitious goals into concrete programs and projects.
Advising the board on prioritizing sustainability activities in relation to financial outcomes.
Translating sustainability initiatives into long-term value creation.
Helping other functional leaders to move the agenda forward.
Working closely with commercial functions to integrate sustainability into customer propositions and long-term contracts.
Being the face of Cosun Beet Company towards strategic customers and at external sustainability events.
Supporting the transition to permanent non-financial reporting obligations.
Monitoring and reporting periodically on progress
including benchmarks against competitors.
Bringing in external expertise
keeping a sharp eye on external developments
and proactively translating risks to the business.
Working closely with colleagues outside Cosun Beet Company.
Inspiring colleagues by making broad sustainability themes concrete and attractive.
Actively involving colleagues in the sustainability journey.

Team & Collaboration
Cross-functional coordination; Working closely with commercial functions; Collaborating with Finance and other functional owners; Working closely with colleagues outside Cosun Beet Company, both at Cosun-corporate level and with sustainability leaders of other Cosun business groups.; Building trust with diverse stakeholders, from growers to CEOs.
Communication Scope
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
