What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist, Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required, Current certification required through NBSTSA or NCCT, 5 years of total operating room experience in surgical technologist role, 2 years of specialized training in one of the following areas, neurosurgery, and spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho, and robotics required, Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder, Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to age-specific issues and data reflective of the patient's status, Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the following age groups

Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies
Clean and prepare instruments
Assist Registered Nurse circulator
Perform duties according to department policy
Monitor surgical supplies
Monitor and document sterilization activities
Attend in-services/staff exhibits
Participate in educational opportunities
