What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Diploma/certification in supply chain management or quality/auditing field or equivalent experience, Medical terminology course required or previous working experience in hospital/health care organization, Minimum of two years experience working within a supply chain environment, Minimum of three years inventory management experience, Demonstrated knowledge of the Emergency Department supplies and equipment, Knowledge of contracts, Working knowledge and experience of adjusting par levels, Working knowledge of rectifying purchase orders and finance, Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, including minimum intermediate Excel skills, Demonstrated skills in analysis, statistical record keeping and report writing, Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, Demonstrated Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration, Excellent attendance and work record
Nice to Have
Working knowledge of implant inventory is an asset
What You'll Do.
Coordinate clinical and non-clinical supply ordering and receiving
Create and lead material management
Identify and manage timely and predictable materials delivery
Assure quality of materials
Optimize working capital
Delegate authority for purchasing of goods
Ensure purchasing is efficient and cost effective
Ensure purchasing is consistent with user needs
Ensure purchasing complies with hospital policies
