What You'll Do.
Ensuring the treatment room is clean
and equipped with the necessary instruments and supplies
Sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments according to infection control guidelines
Setting up equipment such as suction devices
Preparing patients for Oral Surgery
explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns they may have
Assisting Oral Surgeons during surgical procedures
anticipating their needs and providing the necessary instruments and materials
Maintaining a sterile environment during surgery
following strict infection control protocols
Monitoring patients' vital signs and comfort level during surgery
ensuring their well-being at all times
Handling and disposing of surgical waste and hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations
Providing post-operative care instructions to patients
including oral hygiene practices
medication administration
and dietary restrictions
Answering patients’ questions and concerns
offering reassurance and empathy throughout their treatment process
Educating patients about oral health
and the importance of regular dental visits
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
documenting treatment plans
Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating with other dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Managing patient records
updating medical histories
and handling billing and insurance documentation
Assisting with inventory management

What You'll Do: The Surgical Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our Oral Surgeons throughout various surgical procedures. The successful candidate will be able to: Preparing the Treatment Room: -Ensure the treatment room is clean, organized, and equipped with the necessary instruments and supplies -Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments according to infection control guidelines -Set up equipment such as suction devices, dental chairs, X-ray machines, and surgical lights Assisting with Oral Surgery Procedures: -Prepare patients for Oral Surgery, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns they may have -Assist Oral Surgeons during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs and providing the necessary instruments and materials -Maintain a sterile environment during surgery, following strict infection control protocols -Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort level during surgery, ensuring their well-being at all times -Handle and dispose of surgical waste and hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations Patient Support and Education: -Provide post-operative care instructions to patients, including oral hygiene practices, medication administration, and dietary restrictions - Answer patients’ questions and concerns, offering reassurance and empathy throughout their treatment process -Educate
