Must Have

Title: Surgical Assistant Practice: Dr. David Thurber, D.D.S Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Location: East Syracuse, NY Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm - This will be a rotating schedule with some Friday's off based on doctor schedule *Working hours will vary by office needs Pay range: $23.00 - $27.00 Based on experience The Surgical Assistant is responsible for ensuring the compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality clinical care for patients while practicing and providing safety in the work environment. The ideal candidate will assist oral surgeons during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: Ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care and service Communicate with all patients (both in-person and by phone) in a friendly and professional manner Maintain positive, pleasant, and professional relationships between patients, staff members, and surgeons Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures and prepare instruments, materials, and equipment needed for various surgical procedures Support efforts that provide a clean and professional environment for all patients, including, but not limited to, ensuring that operatories are clean, supplies are adequate, equipment is maintained, and compliance with all company policies is maintained Monitor patient's vital signs during surgical procedures and provide support as needed Assist with postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up instructions Document patient encounters and surgical procedures accurately Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, efficient workflow, and exceptional patient care Attend and participate in regular team meetings Adhere to best practices, established protocols, and hig
