Travel to other site locations may be necessary., those needing to travel for work must have access to dependable transportation, and driving record must meet company liability carrier standards, frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), standing (50%), regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%), lift, carry, push, and pull items over 25 lbs., fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology, Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time., Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.

Nice to Have
Previous medical office experience, Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is preferred, Working knowledge of NextGen and Modmed is strongly preferred
What You'll Do.
Provides assistance to the Operating Room (OR) staff rendering patient care.
Provides assistance to those preparing a patient for surgery.
Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean
orderly and safe environment.
Provide the highest level of eye care
adhering to best practices in infection control and prevention as set forth in ASC policies and procedures to achieve quality outcomes that enhance the lives of our patients
Assist the Registered Nurse (RN) with preparing the patient for surgery
Assist the RN with post-surgical care
Make ice packs as needed daily
Maintain inventory for Pre-Op and PACU
linens and consumables
maintain par levels for scrubs
shoe covers and hat covers
Stock and maintain par levels for all Pre-Op and PACU bay carts
Maintain Sharps containers
Assist the front desk with answering phones
scheduling appointments
Assist in clerical duties (i. e. telephones
Clean and disinfect stretchers
including monthly terminal cleaning of all stretchers
Perform daily and monthly housekeeping duties
Perform monthly inspection of Pre-Op and PACU equipment
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service
Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization
Other duties as assigned

Job Title: Surgical Aide Company: Physicians Surgery Center Location: Hannibal, MO Hours: PRN - you will work 3-4 days per month (typically this is the Monday-Wednesday of one week per month, plus one extra day during another week) During your first month, you will likely work at least one extra day for training, and that date will be TBD Our office is open Monday-Wednesday 6:30am-7:00pm Your shifts may run a little earlier/later as needed. Shift end times are subject to change depending on the surgery schedule for that day. NO late nights or weekends!
