Must Have

High School Diploma/GED, 2 years related experience in an area that provides broad knowledge of medical terminology that includes patient registration, patient billing, insurance processing or appointment/scheduling, OR 3 years of customer service concierge experience, Working knowledge of computerized appointment/or scheduling systems, patient billing, insurance processing or other related office functions to coordinate patient access, Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications, Proficiency in use of personal computer (PC) and general knowledge of PC based systems and software

In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and/or CPT/ICD coding

What You'll Do.

Ensure accuracy of master patient index

Validate patient physician information

Identify patients for financial counseling

Triage appointments based on diagnosis

Coordinate services and provide special instructions

Perform scheduling intra- and inter-departmentally

Receive orders and process as indicated

Ensure accuracy of data including CPT coding

Serve as liaison with admitting office

Act as a resource to department personnel

Communicate with patients and families
